Unified Ground Station (for all Bluebird's UAVs)
Bluebird's Ground Control Station (GCS), Co-developed with RAFAEL, supports the planning and execution of a variety of operational missions, while allowing the operator for easy and intuitive control.
The GCS is designed to reduce the operator effort and maximized the mission success, by providing the following capabilities:

Autonomous Tracking Capability
The GCS software allows the UAV to autonomously track moving and stationary targets, without operator intervention. The operator designates a target and lets the system work.

Motion Detection
As operator efficiency declines during long missions, the human eye tends to focus in the middle of the FOV limiting awareness to changes in peripheral areas. The embedded motion detection algorithm will enable the revealing of moving objects and will dramatically enhance the mission effectiveness.

Tactical Information Layers
The operator can analyze the map and the video in real time and overlay upon it tactical markings. The markings will overlay on both the tactical map and the video screen

Communication
A set of three RF Data Links subsystems provides the communications means between the airborne sections and the ground stations.

  Flight Functionality
Fly in a route - Pre-Planned Waypoint navigation
Fly to coordinate (click on the map or video screen)
Hold – loitering around a point
Camera Guide (flight slaved to payload)
Point to coordinate – Payload slaved to a point
Return Home – Automatic in case of communication fail

Recover now – Open parachute and land
