The layout of the modern arena - usually an urban environment,
is rapidly changing.
Accurate and up-to-date orthophoto (an aerial photo,
an accurate representation of the earth's surface),
with geo-reference information, is an essential product
for tactical forces and may make the difference between
winning or loosing a battle. It is also essential for
the Homeland Security (HLS), the agricultural and the
civil markets.
BlueBird's UAS, equipped with a unique photogrammetric
payload, can be sent on autonomous missions to collect
images that will be automatically converted to an orthophoto,
with up to 1cm/pixel resolution, and up to 1m geo-reference
accuracy.
The system uses special stereoscopic hi-resolution
imagery, and an automatic process for the generation
of the orthophoto and 3D data.
BlueBird's mapping capability may be executed by the
Blueye UAS or even by a small electric UAS.
